Fact-Checking Policy

Last updated: June 2026.

Trust is everything for a fashion & style publication, so The Style Edit holds its content to a clear fact-checking standard.

How we check facts

Where a claim depends on data, science, rules, or expert guidance, we verify it against reputable, well-established sources rather than hearsay or marketing copy. Each article includes a “Further reading & trusted sources” section linking to the authorities we relied on — such as official manufacturer documentation and recognised industry bodies.

What we won’t do

  • We never invent statistics, studies, quotes, or credentials.
  • We distinguish established fact from opinion, and association from causation.
  • When the evidence is genuinely mixed or uncertain, we say so plainly.

Reporting an inaccuracy

If you believe something is inaccurate, please email hello@thestylededit.com with the article and the detail. We take corrections seriously and act on them quickly.
